I have my USCG 100 ton/near coastal masters. How does that compare to a 200 ton yachtmaster license?

spark asked:

I have looked at the requirements for the yachtmaster, and they aren’t much. I am entering the yacht industry. With the USCG license, you have to hold your 100 ton for 1 year before you can get the 200 ton. Can I legally be a mate on a yacht?

Are these things true of socialism in America?

luxury yachts
xialou1 asked:

1..we would not have to work as hard to survive…. two family incomes to survive and neglecting children would not be normal
2.. their would be a smaller gap between the rich and poor,,,,, yachts and luxury homes would rarely exist…..
the rich would be more moderate…….
3 standardized health care would exist… hurting doctors (limiting their income)
4. corporations would be limited in power
5. workers unions and people would have the power….
6. more varied politicians
do you think the desire to help humanity will fuel people, do we need the desire to look down to those lesser than us as motivation…. pride….

Has anyone ever heard of VitaLuxury.com ?

luxury yachts
parmamagoo asked:

They promise estates, yachts, exotic cars and luxury travel services as part of a membership deal? Is this a real deal or is it too good to be true? Does anyone have any experience with them, I am researching for potential membership and will share my findings, if any. Thanks.

Do taxes have unintended consequences?

luxury yachts
semper_paratus_1776 asked:

The 1990 Congressional Budget slapped a luxury tax on yachts to get more money from the wealthy. Result? People bought fewer boats. In its first year and a half, the yacht tax raised a pathetic $12,655,000 for the Treasury – enough to run the Agriculture Department for a little over two hours. Meanwhile, the tax contributed to the general devastation of the boating industry. It was estimated that 25,000 to 30,000 mostly blue-collar jobs were lost.

Pat M – Sorry to break it to you but it was the Carter Administration and a Democratic Congress that enacted the yacht tax.

intermixmanager asked:

When I see all the huge yachts in places like St. Barts or Antigua, I always wonder who owns them. Where can I find out who owns these yachts? For example, the yacht named, “Chevy Toy” or the yacht named s/y Drumbeat.
